I shouldn't really have to say this, but I just want to put it out there for those of you who love a whinge that I am very grateful to all of the people who got me gifts for Christmas and I love everything I've been given. I am in no way bragging, this is just a haul of the things I was lucky enough to receive. I like writing and reading these posts as do many others.
Soap & Glory and Laura Ashley bath/body sets.
As you can see, I got a fair bit of Soap & Glory this year, but it just wouldn't be Christmas without it! The first set pictured is from my dad. He gives me money every year to go out and get something 'cause he just doesn't have the time to given the amount he works. I spotted this Soap & Glory set in Boots whilst doing Christmas shopping and decided that I'd get that for my dad to give me this year. The second set is from my boyfriend's mum. I wasn't expecting to get this this year 'cause I didn't ask my mum for it so it was a nice surprise to open this! The last 2 sets are from my mum. We went shopping in boots together this year and I picked 2 small soap & glory sets: Your Own Sweet Lime and Soap For The Best. I also chose a Laura Ashley mini's set. My mum offered to get me the large box of this but I just wanted the minis.
Make Up Brushes and Make Up
I was very happy with all of the beauty products I got this year for Christmas, I should hope so since I chose them all! First of all we've two packs of brushes. The first, Real techniques are from my boyfriend and the second Fearne, are from my mum. I'm very happy with both sets of brushes and in my opinion, you can never have too many make up brushes! Next we have two Jack Wills lip products both from my mum. The first is a set of 3 lip balms in the scents/flavours: Rose, Berry and Mint and the second is a pack of chubby sticks in 4 different shades from dark red to light pink. Finally we have 2 Benefit christmas gift sets. The first is from my brother and is Sweet Tintations. I gave him a choice between this and another set and was kinda relieved to see he'd picked this one. The second is from my boyfriend and is the gorgeous blush set Cheeky Sweet Spot. I was over the moon when my boyfriend said he'd get this for me and I can't wait to use this (and review it!).
Fragrance
I'm very pleased with the fragrances I was gifted this year. The first is the Meow gift set by Katy Perry and my brother got me this. I'm not sure if you know, you should, but I love Katy Perry so any fragrance by her is welcome in my collection. The second is also a Katy Perry gift set, this time it's her newest fragrance Royal Revolution and my mum got me this. I adore this scent and I actually totally forgot that she'd gotten me this so it was a lovely surprise on Christmas morning! Next we have a body mist set by Jack Wills and finally Nina L'Eau by Nina Ricci, both from my mum.
Jewellery
I got very lucky this year as two of my nearest and dearest gifted me a pandora ring each. The first ring I received is from my mum and is the princess tiara ring. I was very surprised when my mum said she'd get me a ring from pandora and I couldn't wait to choose this one! The second ring is from my wonderful boyfriend and is the romance ring. I had no idea he'd gotten me this for Christmas and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. He got me another ring (there's no photo) and it's a cute kitties face, it's adorable and I wish my camera would've focused so I could have uploaded a photo! The final piece of jewellery pictured is a necklace my mum got me as a surprise. It's just a small infinity symbol and on the back it says 'forever', very cute!
Lounge wear
Last year my boyfriend's mum got me a blanket poncho, this year she also got me a blanket poncho but this time it was a cat themed one! I've worn this a few times since I got it and it is honestly the warmest and comfiest thing ever, I love it. She also got some slippers with Marie from The Aristocats on and they're adorable! The last lounge thing I got is from my boyfriend and is another pair of slippers but these ones you can heat up. You pop them in the microwave for a minute or so and then you pop them on and they make you all warm and toasty! These paired with my poncho are a perfect match.
Books
I was pleasantly surprised to see my boyfriend had bought me Russell Brand's new book Revolution. I own both of his other books, Booky Wook and Booky Wook 2 so this is a nice addition to the collection. The next 2 books are from my mum and they complete my John Green collection. I now own all of John Green's books and this makes me very happy. I've already read both of these books digitally but I asked for them so I had the actual book copy and I can't wait to read these again.
CD's and DVD's
Last year you may remember I said my boyfriend got me Now That's What I Call Disney Princess. Well, this year I got another Disney CD, Now That's What I Call Disney, but this time from my mum. I was very happy to receive this (it's 4 CD's!) and have been playing it constantly whilst I've been pottering on or cooking the tea. I love Disney very much, and it's just as well because I also got 6 Disney DVD's for Christmas. My mum got me Pocahontas, 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella and my boyfriend got me The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. My boyfriend also got me Tammy, The Heat (both of which I wanted to see in the cinema), Sarah Millican's Home Bird, Jason Manford's First World Problems (we went to see it live) and also The Fault in our Stars.
Clothing
The first 3 items in this category I received from my mum. The first is a pink and white polka dot printed towel dress wrap. Next are two tops, one has a F.R.I.E.N.D.S. print on and the other has a Powerpuff Girls prints and I chose both of these. The next shirt is from my boyfriend and has The Little Mermaid on it. He told me he almost didn't give me this 'cause he wasn't happy with the way the print looks on the shirt but if i'm honest I love it. The final shirt is from my boyfriend's mum and has Olaf from Frozen on it! This shirt is sooo cute, I thought it was a PJ top when I first saw it but it's not, can't wait to wear this.
Bath Products and Lush Cosmetics
My boyfriend's mum got me a pack of Joules Bath Bulbs, and although I'm usually dedicated to LUSH I'm excited to try them. Despite them all being wrapped differently they do all smell very similar if not the same but it's a pleasant smell, nice and floral. Mrs Frosty and 12 Days of Christmas are both gifts from my boyfriend and boy I was not expecting either of them. He knows me very well and knows what I like to use in my bath so as you can expect I love every single product these two gifts come with. Can never have too much LUSH, especially not festive LUSH! The final lush goodies are from my mum, she told me to pick a few bits so I picked Reindeer Rock soap, 2 Melting Snowman bath melts, Golden Wonder bath ballistic and Shoot for the Stars ballistic.
Miscellaneous
I probably could put the things in this category in to smaller categories but I just can't be bothered so they're all going here in Miscellaneous. So first off we have Disney Princess bedding and a Disney Princess Fleece blanket, both from my boyfriend. If this hasn't told you I love Disney then I've no idea what will but I can't wait to put this on my bed. Yes I know, I'm such a child but my boyfriend loves me enough to get me this and humor my Disney child side and that says a lot. Second is a Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate set from my mum. I love starbucks coffee and we don't have a coffee machine so I'm glad this is ground coffee. Next is a simple black bag from my mum. I chose this when we were in Primark one day and had ran out of money so she offered to get me it and put it away for Christmas. Next is some 'Hand Shit' hand cream from my boyfriend. Some of you may remember the year before I received some 'lip shit' lip balm and despite the name sounding awful the product was actually really good. I'm yet to try this but I'm sure it'll be good. Next we have two Calenders, one is Katy Perry from my mum and the other is 365 cats, each day is a different cat, from my boyfriend. The last two gifts are also from my boyfriend and two I totally wasn't expecting at all. He got creative with this one and got me a make your own lip balm kit in the flavour strawberry. I'm really excited to try this actually I just hope it doesn't go disastrously wrong! The last thing is a canvas of Stevie Nicks and I seriously couldn't believe he'd got me this, it's absolutely beautiful. I've put this on my wall above my bed and it looks really nice. He definitely listens to the things I like and dislike to have gone out and got me something as wonderful as this.
Ry probably won't approve of me putting this on the internet but the first lot of chocolate is special and of course is from my boyfriend. It's a box of truffles from Thorntons with a lovely message on them. He also got me some pink smarties and some Lindt Lindor chocs. The rest of the chocolate and sweets in the photo are from my boyfriends mum and my mum.
I was well and truly spoiled this year, but like I said I am very grateful for all of the things I was gifted and am very lucky to have received such wonderful presents.
