LUSH Halloween 2016

Saturday 22 October 2016

LUSH released their halloween range a couple of weeks ago and I just had to pop down to my local store in Sunderland to see what was new this year! With some familiar products returning, there were also new products so I thought I'd share with you a few that caught my eye.

Making it's return for a third year is Lord of Misrule. This ballistic has a herby blend of black pepper and patchouli oil to give it spice and is packed with vanilla absolute which cuts through and gives a nice sweetness. You might think it looks a little plain looking at it's green exterior but you'd be wrong. Since it was inspired by the pagan feast of fools, once you've popped it in to the water it reveals a beautiful wine coloured interior; you really do feel like you're sitting in a bath full of wine! Also making it's return this year is Sparkly Pumpkina beautiful glittery bubble bar packed full of uplifting grapefruit, lime, and juniper berry oils. I say this every year and I stand by it 100% that this smells exactly like Irn Bru to me, anyone else agree?

The first new product to catch my eye is Pumpkin. This ballistic smells so strongly of orange but there's no orange in it, it is instead scented with Vanilla absolute and Pimento Berry oil, very pleasant. Another new product is Monster's Ball, a bright pink and eye catching ballistic. This one reminds me a little bit of Mike from Monster's Inc but he's got Sulley's colours. This ballistic contains lime oil which gives it a really fresh scent, uplifting neroli oil, relaxing olibanum oil, and also softening and conditioning fair trade organic cocoa butter. The cutest little guy to ever have caught my eye in LUSH is Boo bath melt, isn't he adorable?! This little ghost is made with calming mimosa absolute and warming ginger oil. He's also full of fair trade organic cocoa butter to soften the skin so is perfect for a warm bath on a cold autumn night.

Autumn Leaf is such a beautiful bath ballistic that, when popped in to the water, displays beautiful bright red, green, and yellow streaks of colour to signify the falling Autumn leaves. It contains uplifting Bergamot, Neroli and Sandalwood oils and if you were a fan of the discontinued Grass shower gel then you will love the scent of this ballistic.  If you close your eyes whilst in the bath the scent is so wonderful that you can drift off and imagine you're on a walk on an Autumn night. The final product I picked up is a tiny shimmer bar, Goth Fairy. With a mix of Illipe and CupuaƧu butters to soften the skin, uplifting Grapefruit and Bergamot oils, hydrating Almond oil, and full of iridescent lustres she's perfect to use before you head out to your halloween party/night out!

Well that's it for LUSH Halloween, I hope you all manage to pick up some of your favourites before they disappear for another year!
