Happy Twenteenth.

Hello everyone! I bring this post to you 2 weeks late (nearly 3) because basically I am the queen of lazy. It was my birthday on January 28th and from the title you can guess I turned 20. No longer a teenager. I've been dreading turning 20. My birthday was on a Tuesday this year so I didn't carry out my yearly tradition of having a house party. Instead I went drinking in town on the Monday with a couple of friends and my boyfriend. I also went for food with my boyfriend and my mum on my actual day of birth. Overall I'd say I had a decent birthday. I got some lovely gifts and my friends, boyfriend and family made an effort to make it good. I know most of you are only here to have a nosy at the presents I got for my birthday so you will find the photos below!

My boyfriend bought me so much at Christmas time that I did not expect him to buy me what he did for my birthday. He told me he was going to buy me a new TV (he hated my old one and said it was too small) and I told him not to because honestly I feel so awful when people spend money on me, it's just the way I am and the thought of him spending £100+ on a present made me feel awful. He at first said he wouldn't and would buy me something else but it turns out that actually he totally ignored that and bought me a 32" TV anyway. I'm not complaining and I am extremely grateful for how good he is to me. He also bought me another journal! This time a dream journal and I've been using it almost every day. It'll be interesting to look back on the crazy things I've dreamt about by the time I reach the end of the book. He also bought me another book of 'put downs and zingers'. I've read it and some of them are hilarious but others, not so much. The last thing I got is a £20 Topshop gift card from his family. I'm keeping this for summer though so I can put it towards a nice top/shirt/dress or even some nice shoes!
From my Family this year I got money not presents. I asked if they would do this so that I could put the money towards my ticket for Leeds festival so I only have £100 to pay as my family paid the rest. My mum got me a cute card with a nice verse on and I've put that in my purse. My mum got me a birthday cake with Disney princesses on and my birthday card was also Disney princess themed, she's so sweet! Unfortunately the cake does look a lot nicer than it tastes but my mum ate pretty much all of it so at least it didn't get wasted!

Godmother Soap, Creamy Candy
The Comforter, Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment

The next lot of presents I got are from my closest friend from Uni, Abie. She got me some lovely presents and I've very grateful. The birthday card she got me had Katy Perry on the front! She knows me so well. I didn't expect any of the things she got me if I'm honest. She got me the 'Splash of Colour Collection' by Nails inc. The shades are Park Crescent, Albert Place, Westminster Abbey, Mulberry Walk, Symons Street and Blandford Street. I love them all so much. I'm currently wearing Albert Place, it's a lovely bright sky blue. She also got me some goodies from Lush Cosmetics: Godmother Soap, Cready Candy bubble bar, The Comforter bubble bar and Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment bath melt. I've never tried Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment so I'm excited to use that sometime soon!
The last presents I received are from my friend Laura. She also got me some lovely presents! The first thing is a Hello Kitty cup and coaster and I know it's gonna sound a bit ridiculous but I was actually buzzing that there was a coaster. Basically I bought a new bedside table a few weeks ago and didn't wanna get any marks on it so have been using spare tilli bags as coasters because I didn't wanna buy any (I am queen stinge) and now I never have to because I got one! Woohoo. Little things I know. The next gift is another from Lush cosmetics! I live for Lush and it's clear my friends know that too! It's nice to know they take notice of my likes and dislikes. Anyway, I got the 'Bloomin' Beautiful' gift and in there you get Think Pink bath ballistic and also Pop in the Bath bubble bar. I've never had 'Pop in the Bath' before and I'm quite excited to try it! I know it's a popular product but I've just never gotten round to trying it out. I will definitely use this soon.

I got some lovely gifts from my friends, family and boyfriend and I am extremely grateful for everything they've given me. They're all so wonderful and I love them all. I never expect people to buy me cards/presents I always feel like I don't deserve them I guess. Being 20 does feel a bit unusual. I don't want to be a grown up, I just want to be a teenager forever!
