Christmas Throwback.

Thursday 8 December 2016

Can you believe it's already day 8 of blogmas? I'm surprised I've kept up with it so far to be honest, but that could change as I'm off on my travels on the 12th and won't be back home until the 20th! So fingers crossed this scheduled post malarky works out, or blogmas will have failed 12 days in. Today is Thursday so I thought why not do a Throwback Thursday post, but Christmas edition?

There's not actually a lot of photos from Christmas when I was a child to be honest, and if there is they'll be in one of the many photos albums in my mum's room hidden somewhere. I'll have to dig them out and have a look through as I haven't found any of me and my other brother on Christmas. I really miss the days these photos capture, back to a time where we didn't have very much but it didn't matter because we were a family and we made up for material things with love and memories. It's sad how things can fall apart as we get older. I wasn't a spoiled child, and neither were my brothers my parents just simply didn't have the money but we were always so grateful for what we got no matter what because someone, somewhere, woke up on Christmas day and had nothing. My parents always did their very best for us no matter what and they still do even though we're adults now. Christmas isn't about gifts really if you think about it, it's about spending time with the people you truly love and care for and making wonderful memories.

  2. Ah I love this post! I'd planned to do exactly the same but I can't find any photos worthy of the internet! I agree that Christmas is about family and the gifts are just a bonus. =^-^=
