June Favourites 2017

Tuesday 11 July 2017

Hi everyone! I'm back with another monthly favourites as you may have noticed I didn't bother with one last month and that's mainly because most of my May favourites were things I'd mentioned in April. I can't get my head around the fact we're now into July, where's the year gone?! It's frightening. Anyway, as usual I've picked a few of the items I've been loving in the last month so let's get on with it shall we?

The first item I've been loving is a new high end beauty product and it's the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclait foundation. I've been meaning to purchase this for the last 3 months but finally took the plunge and picked it up at the beginning of June. I really enjoy this product, it gives full coverage and blends really well using a beauty blender. The next item I wanna talk about is the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot blush palette. I got this for Christmas I wanna say almost 2 years ago and never really reached for it until recently. I've been using Hoola bronzing powder for contouring and the Rockateur rose gold blush on my cheeks. This also came with a highlighter but I've lost that, typical. It's alright though as I've been using the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette religiously. I'm not sure on shade names (or if there even is any) but I use the purple powder highlight for my cheekbones and brow bones and then the white for the inner corners of my eyes.
Some of you may remember in December I got the Eclectic Little Luxuries advent calendar from Selfridges, well in that was a lot of miniature beauty products and one of them was the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo. I forgot all about it and it's been sitting in the bathroom unused up until the start of last month when my faithful Rehab from Lush ran out. I really enjoy it, it smells of coconut and has really helped my scalp and the condition of my hair. I'll definitely be purchasing the full size of this once I run out of the mini. At the start of June I popped to Fenwicks in Newcastle, now I originally went in for make up but bailed on the idea and instead came out with a candle. I first picked up the Diptyque Candle in the scent Vanille when I was in London in December but I sadly ran out so had to make a repurchase. It's vanilla orchid and I want to say sandalwood so is a floral yet spiced scent.
My final beauty favourite is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Colour Corrector in the shade Green. I swear by this stuff honestly I never knew I needed a product so much until I found this. The green is meant to combat redness so I put this on my forehead and my cheeks and usually a bit on my neck (I get a blotch when I'm angry/upset so need to be prepared) and I blend it all out with a beauty blender. After that's all blended I can go ahead and put my regular foundation over the top! Last but not least I've found myself eating a lot of the Kinder Bueno bars in the last month and I'm not entirely sure why as I'm not a chocolate person! They're really nice though, I think it's the smooth hazelnut filling that draws me in.
